Introducing Aspire Autism, LLC (Colorado)

About Us

The staff at Aspire Autism, LLC Colorado are leaders in the field of Autism and Autism Spectrum Disorder. We utilize the technology of Applied Behavior Analysis to provide top-quality behavioral therapy and supports. Applied Behavior Analysis is an evidence based practice that utilizes principles of behaviorism to foster skill acquisition and decrease challenging behaviors.  Here at Aspire Autism we have a passion for teaching and learning, and a commitment to creating a supportive learning environment. We recognize that each child and family is unique and strive to tailor the needs accordingly. Each of our clients have individualized treatment plans that include behavioral goals for communication, social skills and other areas that are important for childhood development. Each treatment plan also includes a behavior intervention plan tailored to the individual clients, their behaviors, and how to target them. We adapt our teaching methods to the individual learning styles of our students.  The center makes it possible to explore the world around us in a safe and encouraging environment. We utilize a variety of teaching methods, including Discrete Trial Training and Incidental/Naturalistic Teaching.

 

Aspire Autism, LLC prepares the person with autism to be able to manage and work within the world. Our staff makes this possible by fostering a love of learning in our kids. It starts with a well-balanced curriculum and easy access to positive reinforcement. We make sure that our staff is equipped with the knowledge of each child and that the families within the Aspire community are able to voice their own opinions. Our staff makes learning fun!

Jeremy Blower, Owner

Jeremy has worked with children with autism in various settings for the last 17 years. He has worked as an interventionist, a teacher's assistant in a school district, and for the state of Nevada as a developmental specialist where he helped children and their families. During his time with the state of Nevada he was promoted to the Autism Training and Technical Assistant position for the entire state. There he connected families to the appropriate resources and his ultimate goal was to make sure every child in the state had a proper screening for autism.

  

Cathie Christmas M.Ed, BCBA, Clinical Director

Cathie has worked in various special education classrooms specializing in communication disorders and autism in Montana and Washington. In 2012, she received her bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from the University of Nevada, Reno. While in Nevada Cathie worked as a Certified Autism Behavior Interventionist in an intensive in-home ABA program in Reno that specialized in working with children and adults with autism. In 2014, Cathie completed a master’s degree in Education in addition to the required graduate coursework in behavior analysis. She also obtained her status as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst as of May, 2014. She has diverse experience working with individuals with a variety of developmental disabilities, including individuals with autism spectrum disorder.  Cathie enjoys utilizing a naturalistic approach that allows individuals to learn skills that are functional.

  

Liz DeWolf M.S., BCBA

Liz has been a Board Certified Behavior Analyst since 2013 and has worked with children with special needs since 2008, where she first worked as a 1:1 interventionist providing in home ABA therapy to children with autism. Originally from San Diego, California, Liz earned her Bachelor’s degree in Developmental Psychology from Saint Mary’s College of California and her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from California Lutheran University. Liz’s experience includes the development and implementation of social skills groups for children on the autism spectrum, parent training groups for parents aspiring to learn more about basic principles of behavior, direct supervision and training of staff, and program development and supervision of individualized ABA treatment plans.  Liz is dedicated to embracing the unique qualities and strengths of each child and is passionate about helping the family support these strengths in order to promote a better quality of life for each child.

 

Diane Allen BCaBA

Diane is a Board Certified Assistant Analyst. Diane was born and raised in New York, then moved to North Carolina in 2012.  Diane completed her undergrad at Fordham University and is currently finishing her MA thesis with C.W. Post in experimental psych.  Diane moved to Colorado in June of 2016 and is planning to take the BCBA exam in 2017.  She enjoys spending time with her husband and dog.  Her favorite guilty pleasure is reality T.V. shows.

  

Ashlie Thomas, Client Services Director

Ashlie has been working with children on the spectrum for 7 years in group settings, school settings, and one on one settings.  Group settings included social skills groups focused on inclusion of typical and special needs peers. She also has experience with children that have sensory,processing, and behavioral needs. She attended college for psychology and business administration. Ashlie is also RBT certified. Ashlie is a mother of two beautiful children and a great addition to the Aspire team!

Jennifer Howell; Family Advocate

Jennifer is so happy to be joining the Aspire Team. She comes with a Master in Contemplative Psychotherapy and years of working in educational and therapeutic settings with children and families. Jennifer worked as an individual and family therapist for the Boulder Valley School District and has spent the last year working as a therapeutic instructor for preschool children on the autism spectrum. She looks forward to finishing her RBT training while working with the children at Aspire and getting to know the Aspire families as our new Parent and Family Advocate. Carter Kenyon, Childhood Program Director

Carter grew up in Tennessee and received a bachelor’s degree in German from Wake Forest University in 2013. He has worked at day camps for teens with special needs during multiple summers. In his free time, Carter enjoys playing ultimate, hiking, and skiing.

Rachael Beres, Early Social Skills Program Director

Rachael graduated from CU- Boulder in May 2016 with an undergraduate degree in psychology. She plans on continuing on and getting her masters in a field in psychology. She's been apart of our aspire team for the last few years. Rachael has a great attitude and always has a smile on her face. She is a great asset to our team and our clients love her. 

 

 

Angela Gomez, Early Childhood Program Director

Angela graduated with a bachelors degree in sociology. She has been a counselor at a youth center for adolescent girls with a variety of disabilities. She loves working with children and has been since she was 14 years old! She is excited to be apart of Aspire's team!

Stefanie Sena, Assistant Program Director

Stefanie has been working with children for over 15 years. She attended Red Rocks Community college where she received her teaching degree. She worked as a Preschool Head Teacher for many years. Currently works part-time at North Metro Community Services. In her free time she loves spending time with her children!!

Mia Rodolff, Assistant Program Director

Mia grew up in California and received a bachelor's degree in Psychology from CU Boulder in 2015. She has worked with developmentally disabled adults in the past, and thoroughly enjoys working with children of all ages. 

Elisia Ogaz; Assistant Program Director

Elisia Ogaz has a Bachelors degree in Human Services. She worked in the DPS district as a Behavior Intern with children. Elisia is enthuseastic and loves working with children of all ages. She loves dogs, baking, and the outdoors.  

Jenny Altemus, Assistant Program Director

Jenny graduated from CU Boulder with a double major in Psychology and Neuroscience. She has a passsion for working with children. She worked with special needs kids in Cuba in 2014. Her hobbies include hiking, skiing, and photography. She has worked at Aspire for 2 years. She is a great asset to our team!

Frida Jimenez; Assistant Program Director

Frida Jimenez has a bachelor's degree in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences. She is bilingual and enjoys using this skill with Spanish speaking parents. Frida is fun and outgoing and loves to work with children! Her hobbies are hiking with her dog, spending time with friends and family, and dancing! 

 

Niccole Anzivino, Interventionist

Nicole recently graduated from CU Boulder and has plans to pursue a Master's Degree in Speech Pathology. Her energy and creativity make her a great addition to the Aspire team!

Emma Neubauer, Interventionist

Emma is a student at CU Boulder. She began with us as an intern and is now joining the team as a staff member. Her great attitude and fun demeanor make her a great addition to our team.

Interventionist McKenna Hester

McKenna Hester is a Denver native. She graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelor's of Science in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences. She has worked with kids with disabilities since 2011 in different venues. She previously worked as an intern at Westview Middle School in the special education department and coached the special needs cheerleading team at Cherry Creek High School. McKenna is also currently a Denver Broncos cheerleader. We love having her positive attitude and passion for this community here at Aspire.

Austin Perez-Mesa Interventionist

Austin graduated in May 2016 with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Business Focusing on entrepreneurship. He has worked with kids with disabilities ever since his sister, Carlie, was born legally blind 9 years ago. She has been his inspiration to work with and help kids with disabilities. He has volunteered at the Anchor Center for Blind Children, where his sister graduated from when she was 5 years old to help her succeed in the public school system. Austin has also volunteered with Children's Hospital and shadowed physical and occupational therapists. 

Alexis LaRocca; Interventionist

Alexis is great asset with our Aspire team. Orignally from New Jerese, she is pursuing her degree at Colorado University in Boulder.

Lance Huckaby, Interventionist

Lance started working at Aspire the summer of 2012 where he was a therapist to our young adults and adolescents. In the fall he started working with our early childhood clients.  His flexibility, patience, and quick learning style makes him fun to be around.

Mikka Jones; Interventionist

Mikka Jones was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. She went to Colorado State University for Human Develpoment and Famiy Studies. Mikka is an excellent addition to our team, adding in her diverse skills with disabled children for different ages. Mikka likes to spend her time going on long walks with her dog, Milo. 

Willow Gray; Interventionist

 

 

Cassandra Peterson; Interventionist

Cassandra is an excellent asset to the Aspire team. She is currently working on her Master’s degree in Psychology while hoping to receive her License in Child counseling. Cassandra enjoys cooking, painting, and working out!

 

Interventionist Amber England; Interventionist

Amber is a Colorado native who graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelors degree in psychology.  She previously worked in the school district and realized she had a passion for helping children and seeing them progress.  She also loves fitness, cooking, and hiking with her dog, Jax.

Tyler Caldwell; Interventionist

 

Tyler grew up near Madison, Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse in May 2016 with a Bachelors degree in Theraputic Recreation. Tyler completed my university-assigned internship with the City of Boulder parks and rec EXPAND program. He also became a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist this past summer of 2016. Tyler enjoys fly fishing, art, and sports!

Rebecca Fredericks; Interventionist

 

Rebecca grew up in New York and  attended the University of Massachusetts, graduating with a BA in Psychology. Rebecca loves working with children and has a passion for making a difference in others' lives! She has previously worked with individuals struggling with mental illness and chemical addiction. She enjoys reading, hiking, and live music!

Duncan Williams; Interventionist

Duncan grew up in San Diego and received his bachelor’s in Psychology and Sociology from CU in 2016. He has worked with adults with disabilities in the past and plans on pursuing a master’s in the future. Duncan enjoys the hiking, biking, sports, and frisbee.
